Consul General Adelio Angelito Cruz said they are monitoring the situation of the more than 400,000 Filipinos in Los Angeles County, with 25 percent living in the most affected areas.

“The affected so far is 191 in total and we expect the number to increase in the next few days,” Cruz said.

Cruz said affected Filipinos include several caregivers, who lost their jobs when the homes of their employers were destroyed by wildfires.
