MANILA, Philippines — Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto cautions the public of “verified” fake pages of people posing as public officials.
In a Facebook story, Sotto’s account posted a screenshot of what appeared to be an official page of Pasig Councilor Angelu De Leon with a faded picture of a foreign man.

“Their desperate moves continue. They use these ‘verified’ fake pages to report the original/ real pages as “impersonation” kaya mandalas nasu-suspend and original/real pages,” he also wrote on Friday.

Xi’s comments came during a speech at the opening ceremony of a massive summit in Beijing, gathering dozens of African leaders to discuss the continent’s economic and political ties with China.
In another story, Sotto also posted a photo of another verified page named “Mayor Vico Sotto (Supporters).”
